Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate and honor people of Hispanic heritage who have influenced America in a monumental way and learn about their impact on American culture.

Honored the second week of September, Assisted Living Week recognizes those who serve our seniors in assisted living communities. The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living announce a theme each year to celebrate all week long.

Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth National Independence Day or Freedom Day, is considered the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, but it wasn’t until two years later that the news arrived in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865.

Pride Month celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community. It is a time to celebrate and learn as we continually foster a world where everyone feels valued and respected.

During National Nurses Week, we extend a special thanks to our nurses as they continue to provide quality care to residents. Take time to thank a nurse for their compassionate care!

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebrates achievements and contributions of Asian and Pacific Americans. The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States on May 7, 1843. It also marks the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869, built with significant contributions from Chinese workers.

This month is all about celebrating the diversity around us and the value we each bring into our roles, whether in the home, workplace, local community, or world.

Women’s History Month celebrates the contributions and achievements of women in history and today. International Women’s Day is celebrated March 8, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
